Hittin' Breeze Mag 2nd Anniversary

Went to hit BED lately for some breeze 2nd anniversary party. Good shit.
Unfortunately, for the party, there were no booze sponsors. It means, no free booze. That's a minus.

Luckily, they found a great sponsor in Intimate. Intimate provided free sanitary pads for everyone who attended the party so they can stick it when they are wasted. HAHA. Joking.

Other notable sponsor is CORE with a useful one week gym pass. The rest are pretty much recyclable. Hehe

The event was overall a great party. Good music, good people, great performances, good times. Caught up with quite a few familiar faces there. :)

Here's my bartender looking pretty happy while pouring some juice. He must be thirsty too.

There were some dances.

This is Joanna singing some happy birthday song.

Prizes given away. Not sure if that's sanitary pads in a hamper.

Incredible emcee.

The deejay who shone!... Got the people to dance.

Great night as everyone was having a good time.

Alright, gotta go write up again. Chaossssss.

Genova Eats @ Fukurou Japanese Restaurant

Coupla' weeks back, it was Elsa's birthday. So I decided to come up with something for her birthday. After consider a few places around the town, I decided Fukurou Japanese Restaurant would be the best place as I had a really great time on my previous visit there. Friendly staff, great food, great environment, decent price (for members). I called the restaurant and the staff there were more than happy to plan something up for her birthday. Let's just say it was supposed to be a surprise but it didn't turn out exactly as I wanted it to be. It was great pleasure to know everyone executed the plan perfectly. The birthday girl just turned out to be too alert. Haha.

Fukurou's friendly staff helped out in the surprise build up. Heck, they even made a complementary salmon birthday cake for her.

Some good salmon cake. Thank you Fukurou.

For a start, we ordered a coupla food but I failed to snap all of them. The bento sets were at RM45.90 with a further 30% off for members. That's a good deal if you ask me for the quality and portion.

Salmon mentai at RM8 is delicious. Good shit. The salmon was soft, juicy and complemented well with the mentai sauce. Not hentai. 4/5

Some balls. Haha. RM5.90. A good decent sized pair of balls. Juicy and soft inside. 3.5/5.
Kidding. It's called takoyaki i suppose.

I love this stuff right here. Spider maki. Soft shelled crab mah ki. It's served with generous amount of ebiko. The best way to eat this is by pop. One pop and you have a good whole mouth filled with goodness. 5/5.

Unagi mentai. Ok lah. Good stuff. I prefer the unagi itself without the mentai sauce. No complaints as the unagi was very soft and creamy. 3/5.

There were some very fresh salmon slash salmon belly. Both of them were very fresh. Picture stolen from NDLV. 5/5.

Free desserts. Some sago desserts for everyone.

Some peeps celebrating her birthday. Overall, it was a great experience on both my visit to the restaurant. They serve great and fresh sashimi, great value bento sets, and spider maki (i like). It is my favourite place for japanese food. I give it a happy 5/5.

Fukurou is located here.

Genova Eats @ Krishna's Curry House

Lately I've been craving for curry. So I headed to Krishna's curry house for the first time after hearing about them a gazillion times. I have to say, it's possibly the best place for some banana leaf rice in KK. The only regret I have is not knowing about this gem much much much earlier. You see, I am now in my final semester in Sabah.

The problem I have right here in KK is that most curry house serve pretty 'diluted' curry and most importantly LACK OF OMPH aka KICK in the curry. I have to say that I consume a lot of curry and spices. Give me the complexity of flavour in spices anyday over a plate of spaghetti. It's just more fulfilling to my tastebud.

I headed there the other for some lunch slash dinner. So now we all know that's the time where you have problem deciding to eat more as a dinner or eat less as a late lunch. I picked the former route. I had 2 mountains of rice. The vegetarian set costs RM5 for unlimited refill of both rice and vege. Now that's a good deal but that's not the point. The point is, you have to fill your stomach with great food right and this place sure lived up to its reputation. No diluted curry crap shit.

We had some mutton and chicken set. The set comes with a complementary teh tarik. Good free stuff.
Both sets cost RM9

I have to say both the lamb and chicken was good. Soft and tender with flavour of spices in the curry. I rate it being the best I've had in KK so far.

Some vege that came with the set.

Free teh tarik which is better than many places already.

Overall, the experience was currygasmic as I've been craving for curry for a long time. The place is famous for curry fish head, something I'll be heading back for.

With all said and consumed, I rate it a happy 4/5.

Krishna is located here.

Genova Eats @ JJ Western Corner, Damai

I hit this place called JJ western corner in damai after hearing enough of it for some time. Fair enough, it's good place if you are craving for lambssss. Meekkkkkkk.

The price here pretty decent ranging from RM12 to RM20. So for less than RM20, you get a good portion of nice juicy lamb.

Here's the grilled platter. RM18.

Here's my verdict. It consists of lamb, pork and chicken. Forget the chicken and pork. I can grill better. Not so juicy. Focus on the lamb. One word: JUICY. Heck, don't bother ordering this cause if you're in for a good lamb. Order the lamb instead for a much satisfying meal.

Rating: 3/5 lah.

I got myself some steak RM20. Sirloin only

Pretty good and juicy also. However, portion is pathetically small. I reckon my neighbour's dog need more meat than that. Hehe.

Rating : 3.5/5

So the conclusion is, hit the place if you crave lamb.
JJ western is located here.

Coupla pics of my supper. I got hungry and hungry brain don't work. They just don't.

Some fuel injection system with cheese.

The real deal.

OK lah. I'll blog more often. Happy Uncle Saint Patrick's Day. Sponsor me with some beer. I'd be happy.
