Life In Miri 2

This is going to be a bit of a lengthy post (not my usual style) but oh well, it was an awesome second day in Miri.
We woke up early in the morning to get some complementary breakfast from the hotel. Simple egg and toast to go with tea.

Then we went to Niah Adventure Park where the legendary Niah Cave is located. Unlike the Poring adventure park in Ranau, Sabah, this park is very well maintained and rather clean (relatively).

It was a bright sunny day to begin with. SO all our journey throughout the park was rather pleasant.
We had to go through a small river to the other side where the park is located.

This is a picture of us. The ass in the background is nothing but a distraction.

This is the adventure park side of the land. It's a pretty long hike deep into the forest and cave. The journey takes about 2-3 hours for each way. In a nutshell, the whole trekking activity could vary from 4 to 6 hours. As long as you don't have too much luggage (i.e., aunties who wants to shit or pee during trekking or complaining about fatigue), 4 hours is pretty achievable.

Few pictures of the cave. I don't have very good pictures due to equipment limitation.

This is the picture at the very end point of the cave. The last cave is known as the "painting cave".

By the time we were done with all the trekking, it was evening and we were all dead hungry. Headed back to the city for some food.

Randomly went to this place for some satay and laksa. The former is pretty okay but the latter is an epic failure. Of course, these are all only appetizers for dinner.

After that we went back to hotel to freshen up before meeting the host for our dinner aka the entree. He brought us to this cafe where they serve some very good mongolian chicken. I thought it was very tasty.

For desserts, we headed back to the Boulevard Cafe for some Umai again. I just can't get enough of that sashimi.

All meals were washed down with the compulsory Teh C Special

We headed back to the hotel and played some games in our room before we called it a day.
