Genova's Year of 2007

I'll do my part in reflecting what the year of 2007 has been for me. Overall, I would say that it has not been a great year for me. In fact, it is one of the more disappointing year and certainly a less memorable one. As sad as it may sound, let's look on the brighter side of the year.

January
On the 1st day of new year itself, I was down sick with a high fever. What a great way to start a New Year.

February
Nothing much happened except some decent Chinese New Year celebration. Semester was at peak with quite a few burdening assignments.

March
I was slapped with one of the most ridiculous fine ever for wearing short pants. WTH.

April
My hectic sem ended. I had an enjoyable trip to the city of cats, Kuching. It was definitely the food that drew me there.
Dad was diagnosed with cancer.

May
I spent quite a bit of time running and training for my 42.5km full Penang Bridge Marathon.
Dad started to weaken with each passing days.

June
Dad finally left us peacefully. I am glad that he no longer had to suffer the excruciating pain.
I finished the longest ever run in my entire life and got my knee injured in the process. It is definitely one of my biggest achievement although the way I ended the race was disastrous. I practically dragged myself cross the finishing line.

July
New sem began and I finally moved out of the hostel. Not forgetting the fact that I can finally online at anytime.

August
I can't remember much of what happened. Nothing big happened.

September
Nothing big happened as semester was at its peak again.

October
Had the opportunity to visit the Doulos ship which harboured at the KK port. A lot of great books were on a real bargain.

November
Visited the Tip of Borneo. It was quite a scenic view over there.

The sem ended and there I was on the flight back to Penang :)
Oh that goes well with the song from Michael Buble - I Wanna go Home

December
This has got to be the best month of the year. I LOVE December. Time flies during December. It was a really great holiday season. I had a great birthday celebration with family. My trip to KL was very enjoyable, thanks to Boss Kian Ho. Also, I had my best ever Christmas. :)

Genova Birthday

On the night of my birthday (1st December), I was treated to a dinner in Manhattan Fish Market. It was my second visit to this franchise outlet.

Surprisingly, the last I went there was exactly a year ago on my 20th Birthday (on the opening day of Queen's Bay). I don't know what is it about Manhattan but I now had 2 consecutive birthdays there.

This time, I had the opportunity to try the "Fishermen's Giant Fried Platter". I think that's the name if my memory serves me right.

Fishilicious

Everything tasted great except the fish which was a little bit too 'airy' to my liking. The fries were totally out of this world, fantastic I would say. If they were to put the fries and the fish together and call them 'Fish n Chips', I would definitely finish off the fries and leave the fish for my neighbour's cat. Haha.

Later that night, the cake kicked in.......

Cake

That did not take place in the restaurant of course. Home sweet home. There goes my 21st birthday. Officially ah pek.....

Infection

*** Warning : Gross picture ahead ***

Lately I have this little spot on my knee which is getting from bad to worse. At first it was just a minor injury but now, it looked like I got myself shot a couple of times just like Terminator.

He got shot pretty badly too

And now my leg,

That's 7 bullets

Just like mushrooms, it goes from one spot to another. So now look at my collection of art I have on my knee now. Priceless.

Tell me what to do ? :(
